Jorge, a native of Havana, Cuba, left during the revolution to complete his Bachelor of Architecture at Tulane University in 1963 . He married his late wife Silvia in 1963. Together they have three children, Jorge, Silvia and Rene, and seven grandchildren.
Jorge spent his early career in New Oleans, LA working in local architecture firms and ultimately working in a private practice until 1976 when he relocated the family to Tampa to begin a 25 year career in facilities management for the United States Postal Service. A career that concluded in Miami, FL. Following his long career as an owners representative he was hired by a large family owner general contracting company in Miami to work as a project manager initially managing the construction of the addition and renovation to the Otto G. Richter Library which included the addition to house the Cuban Heritage Collection. He worked as a project manager through 2006.
Jorge joined the firm January 2007, bringing with him 44 yrs of the unique experience of working in the three roles that come together in every construction project, Architect, Owner and Contractor. He serves as vice-president of the corporation, and is actively involved in the design and quality control of contract documents. He has experience with facilities and project management, with extensive experience in many project types including commercial, education, institutional, medical and residential.
